Koushun Takami

Koushun Takami (高見 広春) is a Japanese author and former journalist best known for his controversial 1999 dystopian novel Battle Royale, which spawned manga and film adaptations and achieved cult bestseller status. He worked as a reporter for the Shikoku Shimbun before completing Battle Royale; he has published few (if any) major new works since that novel.
