Jon Courtenay Grimwood (born 1953 in Valletta, Malta) is a Maltese-born British author known for science fiction, fantasy and literary fiction. He grew up in Malta, Britain, Southeast Asia and Norway, studied at Kingston University, and has written for publications including The Guardian. Writing also as Jonathan Grimwood and Jack Grimwood, his awards include the BSFA Award for Best Novel (for Felaheen and End of the World Blues) and several shortlistings for the Arthur C. Clarke Award and other prizes. He lives in the UK.
