H. G. Wells

Herbert George Wells (commonly published as H. G. Wells) was an English writer, historian and social commentator, best known for pioneering works of science fiction including The Time Machine (1895), The War of the Worlds (1898), The Invisible Man (1897) and The Island of Doctor Moreau (1896). His novels and essays explored scientific ideas, social reform, and future societies; he is often called one of the fathers of modern science fiction.
