Melanie Rawn

Melanie Rawn (born June 12, 1954) is an American fantasy novelist best known for the Dragon Prince and Dragon Star trilogies and the Glass Thorns series. A second-generation Californian, she earned a BA in history from Scripps College and worked as a teacher and editor before publishing her debut novels in the late 1980s. Her work is noted for epic, character-driven fantasy and has been nominated multiple times for Locus Awards.
