Geoff Ryman
Geoffrey Charles Ryman (born 1951) is a Canadian-born novelist and short-story writer known for science fiction, fantasy, slipstream and historical fiction. He has lived much of his life in the UK, taught creative writing at the University of Manchester, and is associated with the Mundane SF movement. His notable works include The Unconquered Country, The Child Garden, Air, The King's Last Song and the internet novel 253. He has won multiple major genre awards including the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the John W. Campbell Memorial Award and the World Fantasy Award.
