Seanan McGuire (born January 5, 1978) is an American author known for urban fantasy, horror, and speculative fiction. She is the creator of the October Daye, InCryptid, and Wayward Children series, and also writes science fiction/horror under the pseudonym Mira Grant. McGuire has won multiple genre awards (including Hugo and Nebula awards) and is a New York Times bestselling author.
