Mike Thaler

Mike Thaler (October 8, 1936 – March 23, 2024) was an American author and illustrator of children's books, best known for his humorous picture books and the Black Lagoon series. Over a career spanning more than five decades he published well over 200 books, and was often called "America's Riddle King." He frequently collaborated with illustrator Jared Lee and authored many riddle-and-joke books as well as picture books that are popular in elementary classrooms.
