David Melling

David Melling is a British author and illustrator of children's picture books, best known for the Hugless Douglas series. He studied art in London and photography in Blackpool, worked in animation in the 1980s, and began illustrating children's books in the early 1990s. He has illustrated and/or written well over 150 books, with translations into multiple languages and millions of copies sold worldwide. His picture book The Tale of Jack Frost was adapted as a BBC animated film, and The Kiss That Missed was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal.
