Within These Wicked Walls A Novel

Andromeda is a debtera, an exorcist hired to cleanse households of the Evil Eye, but she was thrown out by her mentor before earning her license. Desperate for a Patron, she accepts a job from the wealthy young heir, Magnus Rochester, to cleanse his cursed castle, which is suffering from horrifying manifestations of the Evil Eye. Nearly a dozen debtera have either quit or died attempting the job, which comes with outlandish rules. Andromeda quickly realizes the work is beyond her training and that Magnus is hiding a far greater secret about the curse than she anticipated. Although staying will likely result in her death, she cannot abandon Magnus to his fate, especially as a burning desire grows between them. This novel is an Ethiopian-inspired fantasy retelling of Charlotte Brontë's classic, *Jane Eyre*.
