Invasion of Privacy

Attorney Nina Reilly, still recovering from a near-fatal gunshot wound, returns to her Lake Tahoe court office, vowing to take on only safe, civil cases. She takes on an invasion of privacy lawsuit for a filmmaker named Terry London, whose documentary about a girl who disappeared twelve years earlier has infuriated the girl's distraught parents. However, the case quickly turns deadly when Terry is brutally murdered. Breaking her promise to herself to avoid criminal law, Nina decides to defend the accused killer, a man she had known years ago and hoped never to see again. As she works the case, a horrifying video of Terry's dying words emerges as seemingly ironclad evidence against her client, and Nina's own past secrets begin to resurface, placing her, her practice, and her life in increasing danger.
