Buried Angels

Easter 1974: A family vanishes from their home on the idyllic island of Valö off the Swedish coast, leaving behind their one-year-old daughter, Ebba. Years later, Ebba and her husband return to the old house, hoping to make a fresh start after the loss of their only child. Their new beginning is immediately threatened when their house is targeted in an arson attack. Detective Patrik Hedstrom takes on the investigation, aided by his wife, crime writer Erica Falck, who has always been fascinated by the mystery of Ebba's abandonment. The discovery of dried blood under the floorboards of the old house resurrects the cold case of the missing family, forcing Patrik and Erica to hunt for a killer who will stop at nothing to keep the past buried.
