The Long Kill

Jaysmith, a highly-regarded hitman known for his skill with the 'long kill' (long-distance assassination), decides it is time to retire when failing eyesight causes him to miss a target for the first time. He seeks a quiet life in the picturesque English Lake District, where he also falls for a beautiful young widow and single mother, Anya Wilson. However, his past catches up to him when he discovers that Anya's father is the very man he was originally hired to kill. With his vicious former employers unwilling to let him retire or let his intended target off the hook, Jaysmith is drawn back into the world of violence. This time, his talent for 'The Long Kill' is used to defend the man he was supposed to destroy, turning the retired assassin into the protector.
