Holy Ghost

Wheatfield, Minnesota, is a dying town of only a few hundred people until the mayor and his teenage buddy concoct a scheme to put it on the map. Inspired by a story of a town saved by a religious sighting, they stage an apparition of the Virgin Mary at the local Catholic Church. The 'miracle' is a success, bringing an influx of pilgrims and much-needed tourist money to Wheatfield. However, their plan quickly goes awry when a sniper begins wounding people near the church. Minnesota BCA agent Virgil Flowers is called in to investigate the random shootings, which soon escalate to a murder, forcing him to uncover a killer before the town's newfound prosperity—and its residents—are completely destroyed.
