Set in London in 1921, this is the first book in The Posie Parker Mystery Series. Posie Parker, an aspiring private detective, sets up her agency in Bloomsbury. Her first case comes from her childhood friend, Lord Rufus Cardigeon, who is in deep trouble. He has been robbed of the priceless Maharajah diamond by his showgirl fiancée, Lucky Lucy Gibson, and has become the prime suspect in the shooting of a mysterious man in the lobby of the Ritz Hotel.
