Wedding photographer Mackensie "Mac" Elliot is most at home behind the camera, but her focus is shattered when she bumps into Carter Maguire, the bride-to-be's stable and safe English teacher brother, moments before an important wedding rehearsal. Mac, a skeptic of commitment due to her parents' numerous failed marriages, is intrigued by Carter, despite him not being her usual type. She decides a casual fling might be just the thing to take her mind off work and her dysfunctional family, but the encounter quickly turns into something more serious.
