Mrs. Wishy-Washy's Christmas
Joy Cowley
Mrs. Wishy-Washy demands that her farm animals—the Cow, the Pig, and the Duck—must be clean and shiny for Christmas, threatening them with no presents if they don't take a bath. The animals are reluctant to use their cold, old tin tub, so they sneak into the house to use Mrs. Wishy-Washy's own warm, bubble-filled bathtub. They make a huge, muddy mess of the bathroom and the house. When Mrs. Wishy-Washy returns and discovers the 'bathroom burglars,' she is initially upset but, embracing the Christmas spirit, she forgives them. She gives them bath-related gifts and promises to put warm water in their outdoor tub for future washes.
