Castaways of the Flying Dutchman

The legend of the Flying Dutchman, the ghost ship doomed to sail the seas forever, has been passed down for centuries. This is the story of the two innocent souls trapped aboard: a boy named Neb (short for Nebuchadnezzar) and his dog, Den (short for Denmark). When the ship is cursed by an angel after Captain Vanderdecken defies the Lord, Neb and Den are swept overboard. The angel, recognizing their purity of heart, gives them a unique blessing: they will be forever youthful, able to communicate telepathically, and fated to roam the earth and the ages, offering kindness and guidance to those in need. Their eternal journey begins when they wash ashore and eventually arrive at the 19th-century English village of Chapelvale. Disguised as a boy named Ben and his dog Ned, they discover that the village is under siege by the greedy Grange Gang. To save the town from being converted into a limestone quarry, Ben and Ned must help the townsfolk decipher ancient clues and riddles to find a buried secret.
