Lost Light

Retired LAPD detective Harry Bosch has resigned, but the life of a retiree does not suit him. He is still drawn to seeking justice and is haunted by the four-year-old cold case of Angella Benton, a film production assistant murdered during a $2 million robbery on a movie set. Bosch took the file with him when he left the LAPD and is now determined to find her killer, but without his badge, he is on his own. The case takes a sharp turn when the LAPD, operating under post-9/11 rules, and the FBI begin to suspect the stolen money was used to finance a terrorist training camp. As the original murder victim's justice is lost in the federal zeal, and the killer may be set free to aid the federal government, Bosch quickly finds himself in conflict with both his old colleagues and the FBI, vowing to find the killer — with or without a badge.
