An Echo in the Bone

This is the seventh novel in Diana Gabaldon's acclaimed Outlander saga, continuing the story of Jamie Fraser, a former Jacobite and Scotsman, and his twentieth-century time-traveling wife, Claire Randall, as they find themselves in the midst of the American Revolution. In the past, Jamie knows that the American rebels will win the war, but he struggles with the possibility of facing his illegitimate son, William, who is now a young lieutenant in the British army. They also grapple with the past leaping out at them again, as Brianna and Roger face a new threat connected to hidden gold and a time-traveling ancestor.
