Search for Senna (Everworld #1)

David Levin's strange girlfriend, Senna Wales, is suddenly dragged into a lake by a gigantic wolf-like creature. David and three other high school students—Christopher, Jalil, and April (Senna's half-sister)—are mysteriously swept into a different dimension known as Everworld. This nightmarish land is a bizarre amalgamation of mythologies where Norse Vikings coexist and wage war against the Aztecs and their heart-eating god. The teens are captured by the Norse god Loki, who reveals that he intended to use Senna, whom he calls a witch, as a gateway. After escaping, the four must now pose as minstrels and join a Viking camp as they search for Senna and try to find a way back to the real world before they lose their lives or their minds.
