James Patterson 18th Abduction

Detective Lindsay Boxer of the San Francisco Police Department is faced with an investigation into the disappearance of three female schoolteachers, a case which rapidly escalates from missing persons to murder. Under immense pressure to solve the case, Lindsay relies on her Women's Murder Club colleagues, including investigative journalist Cindy Thomas. Separately, Lindsay's husband, FBI agent Joe Molinari, encounters an Eastern European woman who reports seeing a notorious war criminal—long thought to be dead—walking the streets of San Francisco. Before Joe can verify the woman's story, his informant disappears, joining the ranks of the missing. Lindsay and Joe's two seemingly impossible cases collide, forcing the entire Women's Murder Club to pull together to protect their city and one another from a true monster.
