Pegasus Descending

Detective Dave Robicheaux's new life of contentment is shattered by the arrival of a troubled young woman named Trish Klein, who is passing marked hundred-dollar bills in local casinos. Trish is the daughter of Robicheaux's former friend and fellow 'Nam vet, Dallas Klein, who was murdered twenty-five years ago for gambling debts, a tragedy Robicheaux witnessed while lost in a drunken haze. Her appearance reopens this painful past and leads Robicheaux to investigate the apparent suicide of a local 'good girl,' Yvonne Darbonne, who was seemingly pulled into a vortex of power, sex, and death. This case becomes Robicheaux's most personally painful and deadliest, forcing him to confront his inner demons, a local mobster, and a dangerous mystery with connections to his life.
