The Secret World of Og

A classic of Canadian children's literature, this whimsical adventure follows the four Berton children—Penny, Pamela, Peter, and Patsy—along with their baby brother, the Pollywog, and their dog, Brave. After discovering a hidden trapdoor beneath their playhouse, the children descend into a mysterious subterranean world inhabited by small, green, earless creatures known as Ogs. These shy beings have built an entire civilization based on the comic books, toys, and household items the children have lost over the years. When the Ogs kidnap the Pollywog and Brave, the older siblings must navigate this strange land, where the only word spoken is 'Og,' to rescue their brother and find a way back to the surface.
