Felicity 'Fizzy' Chen is a beloved romance novelist with a string of bestsellers, yet she finds herself in a crisis of faith: she has never actually been in love. When she realizes she can no longer write the happy endings she doesn't believe in, a chance encounter with Connor Prince, a documentary filmmaker and single father, offers a solution. Facing pressure from his boss to create a hit reality TV show, Connor recruits Fizzy to star in 'The True Love Experiment.' Fizzy agrees on the condition that the contestants are cast based on classic romance archetypes. However, as filming begins, the genuine chemistry brewing behind the scenes between the cynical writer and the perfectionist producer threatens to derail the show's script, forcing them both to decide if they are willing to risk their careers for a real-life 'happily ever after.'
