Without a Trace A Novel

Charles Vincent has a golden life: a beautiful house in Normandy, a successful career, and a settled family life. But beneath the surface, he is trapped in a loveless marriage and a job that has become a burden. One night, while driving along the coast, Charles falls asleep at the wheel and his car plunges off a cliff into the sea. Miraculously, he survives, but instead of returning home, he realizes this is a chance to leave his old life behind forever. He finds shelter in a small cabin owned by Aude, a woman who has also chosen a life of solitude. As Charles and Aude grow closer, he experiences a freedom and happiness he never thought possible. However, the past eventually catches up with him, and he must decide whether to return to the world he abandoned or commit to the new life he has found.
