Merry Winters is a top-tier travel journalist living a glamorous life until a professional oversight leads her to write a scathing review of a New Mexico llama ranch she never actually visited. When the truth comes out, her reputation is trashed. In a desperate bid to save her career, Merry agrees to spend the spring working at the Last Chance Llama Ranch to prove she can be an honest reporter. Expecting a dusty nightmare, she instead encounters a group of eccentric locals, a brooding and handsome ranch owner, and a herd of surprisingly soulful llamas. As she trades her designer heels for work boots, Merry begins to realize that the life she was running toward might not be nearly as fulfilling as the one she found in the middle of nowhere.
