Ender in Exile

Set immediately after the events of Ender's Game, Ender in Exile follows Andrew 'Ender' Wiggin in the aftermath of his victory over the Formics. Although he is a hero to many, Ender is reviled by others as a ruthless assassin and is legally barred from returning to Earth. Accompanied by his sister Valentine, Ender begins a journey into the stars to serve as the governor of a new colony on the planet Shakespeare. This novel fills the gap between the end of the first book and its sequel, Speaker for the Dead, chronicling Ender's travels, his internal struggle with the guilt of xenocide, and his encounters with other survivors of the Battle School as he seeks a path toward redemption.
