A Snicker of Magic

Felicity Juniper Pickle has a unique gift: she sees words everywhere—dangling from trees, swirling in the air, and hopping off people's clothes. When she and her family arrive in Midnight Gulch, Tennessee, she learns the town was once a place of deep magic where people could fly and bake shadows into pies. However, a legendary curse supposedly drove the magic away long ago. With the help of her new friend Jonah, the secret 'Beedle' of the town, Felicity discovers that a 'snicker of magic' might still remain. She realizes that if she can find a way to bring the magic back, she might finally be able to convince her wandering mother to stop traveling and make Midnight Gulch their forever home.
