Rescue

Set in Nazi-occupied France during World War II, the story follows 12-year-old Meg Kenyon, whose father, a British spy, has been captured by the Germans. After finding an injured British spy, Captain Stewart, hiding in her grandmother's barn, Meg is given an impossible mission: to guide a family of German refugees across treacherous, Nazi-controlled France to neutral Spain. One of the refugees has promised to secure her father's freedom in exchange for safe passage. Armed with a final, cryptic code from her father, which she must decipher to complete the mission, Meg races against time and evades relentless pursuers, all while facing danger and uncertainty on her perilous journey.
