Laura Morelli is an American art historian and USA Today–bestselling author who writes historical novels and nonfiction about art and artisans, often set in Italy. She earned a Ph.D. in art history from Yale University, has taught college courses in the U.S. and Italy, contributed to National Geographic Traveler and other outlets, produced TED-Ed lessons on art history, and is the author of the Authentic Arts guidebook series as well as historical novels such as The Night Portrait, The Gondola Maker, and The Stolen Lady.
