R. D. Wingfield

R. D. Wingfield (Rodney David Wingfield) was an English author and radio dramatist best known for creating Detective Inspector Jack Frost, the protagonist of the Frost novels which inspired the long-running television series A Touch of Frost. He began his career writing radio plays for the BBC before publishing crime novels featuring Jack Frost from the 1980s onward. Wingfield continued to write until his death in 2007.
