Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate. She came to prominence after surviving an assassination attempt by the Taliban in 2012 for her advocacy of girls' education in Pakistan's Swat Valley. She coauthored I Am Malala and has continued global advocacy through the Malala Fund.
