Erica Spindler (born 1957) is an American novelist known for romantic thrillers and suspense fiction. Raised in Rockford, Illinois, she studied visual arts before turning to writing; she began publishing romance novels in the late 1980s and moved into suspense with the 1996 novel Forbidden Fruit. A New York Times bestselling author, Spindler has written more than 30 novels published internationally and has received awards such as the Daphne du Maurier Award and the Kiss of Death Award.
