Lori Thicke

Lori Thicke is a bestselling Canadian author, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and international speaker. Born in Toronto and raised in the Northern Ontario mining town of Kirkland Lake, her early life is chronicled in her memoir, "Dreamer's Daughter." She earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, where she was awarded the CBC Writing Prize. After moving to Paris, she founded a successful language company and later established Translators without Borders, which grew to become the world's largest translation charity. She has addressed audiences on five continents and advocates for equal access to knowledge through language. Thicke currently lives in the south of France and is working on her second book, a novel.
