Ron McMillan

Ron McMillan is a Scottish freelance photojournalist and author, born on April 29, 1958, in Paisley, Scotland. He is known for his rare photo coverage of North Korea and for writing crime/suspense novels set in South Korea. McMillan began his journalism career in Seoul in 1988, covering the lead-up to the Olympic Games. He spent ten years based in Hong Kong, traveling extensively for various publications. Upon returning to Scotland in 1998, he focused on writing and illustrating travel and business features. His first travel book, 'Between Weathers,' was published in 2008 and was nominated for the Saltire Society First Book Award, also inspiring a film. His first fiction novel, 'Yin Yang Tattoo,' a crime thriller set in South Korea, was released in 2010. McMillan is also a New York Times bestselling author, keynote speaker, and social scientist specializing in organizational change, co-authoring books such as 'Crucial Conversations' and 'Influencer: The New Science of Leading Change.'
