Arturo Pérez-Reverte Gutiérrez (born 25 November 1951) is a Spanish novelist and former war correspondent. He worked for RTVE for over two decades before turning to full-time fiction; he is best known for historical-adventure novels such as the Captain Alatriste series and El club Dumas, and has been a member of the Royal Spanish Academy since 2003.
