
Holly Smale
Holly Miranda Smale (born 7 December 1981) is a British author best known for the Geek Girl series of young-adult novels. Her debut, Geek Girl (2013), won the Waterstones Children's Book Prize (Teen category) and the Leeds Book Award and has sold millions of copies worldwide and been translated into numerous languages. Smale has also written the Valentines series and an adult novel, The Cassandra Complex (published in the UK) / Cassandra in Reverse (US). She has spoken publicly about being diagnosed autistic and dyspraxic in adulthood and is an advocate for neurodiversity. Smale lives in Hove, England.
