Clare Pooley

Clare Pooley is a British novelist, speaker and former advertising executive. She began a blog, Mummy Was a Secret Drinker, after giving up alcohol and wrote the memoir The Sober Diaries (2017). Her bestselling debut novel, The Authenticity Project (2020), won the RNA Debut Novel Award and has been translated into multiple languages. She has since published The People on Platform 5 (published in the US as Iona Iverson's Rules for Commuting) and How to Age Disgracefully. Pooley lives in Fulham, London and writes about community, honesty and everyday relationships.
