Tom Robbins
Tom Robbins (Thomas Eugene Robbins) was an American novelist known for his whimsical, playful, and often philosophical fiction. He rose to prominence with cult favorites such as Another Roadside Attraction (1971) and Even Cowgirls Get the Blues (1976), and reached a wide audience with Jitterbug Perfume (1984). Robbins's work blends satire, mythology, surreal imagery, and wordplay. He lived for many years in the Pacific Northwest and was widely regarded as a leading voice of countercultural and postmodern literary fiction. His last published long-form book was the memoir Tibetan Peach Pie (2014).
