Kat Zhang

Kat Zhang is an American author of young adult, middle grade, and picture books. Born in Texas to immigrants from China, she graduated from Vanderbilt University. Zhang began writing at a young age and published her first novel, "What's Left of Me," which became the first in her "Hybrid Chronicles" trilogy. Her work often explores themes of identity, parallel universes, and cultural heritage. She is also known for her "Amy Wu" picture book series, which celebrates Chinese culture and family traditions. Zhang is an avid traveler and enjoys incorporating elements of her travels into her stories.
