Arthur Yorinks

Arthur Yorinks is an American author, playwright, and director, best known for writing "Hey, Al," which won a Caldecott Medal. He has written and directed for opera, theater, dance, film, and radio, and is the author of over forty acclaimed and award-winning books. His work is characterized by unique collaborations with a wide range of artists and has been praised for its distinctive prose style. Yorinks also founded The Moving Theatre and co-founded The Night Kitchen Theater with Maurice Sendak.
