Trudi Trueit

Trudi Trueit is an American author of children's books, known for her fiction and nonfiction titles, including the Explorer Academy series. Her passion for writing began in fourth grade when she wrote, directed, and starred in her first play. She later worked as a TV news reporter and weather forecaster before dedicating herself to writing. Trueit has authored over 100 books for young readers, covering a wide range of topics from history and science to adventure stories. She was the first author to write fiction for National Geographic. Trueit was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and currently lives in Everett, Washington.
