Jesse Wente
Jesse Wente is an Anishinaabe writer, broadcaster, speaker, and arts leader. He is known for his work as a culture critic for CBC Radio's Metro Morning and as the former director of film programmes at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. Wente was the first executive director of the Indigenous Screen Office and is the current chairperson of the Canada Council for the Arts. His memoir, "Unreconciled: Family, Truth, and Indigenous Resistance," is a national bestseller that explores themes of identity, Indigenous sovereignty, and cultural reckoning.
