Kenneth Nathaniel Taylor (May 8, 1917 – June 10, 2005) was an American publisher and author, best known as the creator of The Living Bible and the founder of Tyndale House Publishers. His passion was to make Scripture accessible and understandable to all people. He began paraphrasing the Bible into modern English to help his ten children understand it better, which eventually led to the publication of "The Living Bible" in 1971. This paraphrase became a bestseller and has sold over 40 million copies. Taylor also authored numerous children's books and was a recipient of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) Lifetime Achievement Award in 1984.
