Lauren Mechling is an American writer and editor whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Slate, The New Yorker online, and Vogue. A former crime reporter and metro columnist, Mechling is the author of adult and young-adult fiction and has served as a features editor at The Wall Street Journal and as a senior editor at The Guardian US. She lives in Brooklyn with her family.
