Jack Kerley is an American author who spent 20 years in advertising before becoming a full-time novelist. He is known for his Carson Ryder series, which features a detective in Mobile, Alabama. His fascination with psychotics and sociopaths began in high school after learning about the Manson Family. Kerley's books have been translated into ten languages and published in over twenty countries. He lives in Newport, Kentucky, with his wife and two children.
