Steve Lopez
Steve Lopez is an American journalist and four-time Pulitzer Prize finalist who has been a columnist for The Los Angeles Times since 2001. He is the author of three novels, two collections of columns, and the New York Times bestseller "The Soloist," which won the PEN USA Literary Award for Nonfiction and inspired a film of the same name. His television reporting for KCET has earned him three local news Emmys and a share of the Columbia University DuPont Award. Lopez's work often focuses on social issues such as homelessness, income inequality, and elder care.
