Karin Slaughter (born January 6, 1971) is an American crime writer from Georgia, best known for the Grant County and Will Trent series and several standalone thrillers. She has written more than twenty New York Times bestselling novels, has sold tens of millions of copies worldwide, and is the founder of the Save the Libraries nonprofit. Several of her novels have been adapted or developed for television.
