Samantha Hunt is an American novelist, essayist, and short-story writer. Born in 1971 in Pound Ridge, New York, she is the author of several acclaimed books, including "The Seas," "The Invention of Everything Else," "Mr. Splitfoot," "The Dark Dark," and "The Unwritten Book." Her work often explores themes of mythology, folklore, identity, and the human relationship with the unknown. Hunt's writing has been translated into multiple languages and has appeared in numerous literary publications. She also teaches writing at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
