Rebecca Hanover is an American television writer and author of young adult and adult novels. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and graduated from Stanford University with a degree in English and drama. Hanover won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2007 for her work on the soap opera "Guiding Light." Her debut young adult novel, "The Similars," was published in 2019. She has since published other YA novels and adult thrillers, including "The Last Applicant" (2023) and "Seems Perfect" (2025). Hanover lives in San Francisco with her husband and three children.
